Lamination

Never underestimate the choice of lamination for your product packaging. Even the simple choice of Gloss or Matt can have a profound affect on your artwork's presentation.

If you have browsed our CD, DVD & Blu-ray packages, you will notice that our card based packaging solutions come with an option for Gloss or Matt lamination included when shrink wrap is applied. When we shrink wrap printed card products, we include lamination as part of the product because the process for shrink wrapping can result in a heat transfer of ink away from the card and toward the film thus affecting the finish of the packaging. We welcome our customers to have lamination even if the product isn't being shrink wrapped, just get in touch and we will quote the package to include lamination.

Our common choices for lamination are Gloss or Matt. Gloss being highly reflective and shiny and Matt being the opposite, dampening the sheen of the print. We also offer the luxurious matte texture laminate of Soft Touch Laminate, which, as the name suggests, has a soft, slightly rubberised feel under the thumb. It not only generates a new dimension to your print work, but when combined with an effect like Hot Foiling, really stands out.  We can even offer a digitally printed reverse board effect when used with appropriate minimalist style artwork, highlighting the print work, whilst keeping a natural feel, fibrous board where there is white space/no print laid down.

The effects are difficult to communicate thorough photos on screen, so by all means, request some samples to confirm the finish is what you are expecting.
