Clam Shell Box Sets
Clam Shell boxes are one of the most common box types in the packaging industry to house multiple products and that is no different for CD, DVD or Blu-ray collections. They are naturally popular due to their lower cost compared to a "Lift Off Lid" type box because a Clam Shell Box is a single piece product, wrapped in a single graphic that opens with a hinge mechanism, much like a book. A standard CD disc's 120mm diameter size makes it an ideal size to attain the very best qualities out of this box's nature as it is full, but not cumbersome in the palm of a hand. Clam Shell Boxes are built to size specification and have housed vast volumes of music on CDs as well as contained add-ins such as cuddly plush toys, shot glasses and beer cosies.
Belly Bands
Belly Bands are a great way to add a little something extra and suit, Digipacks, Digifiles, Jewel Cases, DVD Cases & Blu-ray cases alike. They can even be produced for Clam Shell, Lift Off Lid boxes and Slip Cases to elevate them to another level. Simple paper Belly bands like the one pictured work better as a vertical strip, but can work horizontally and even diagonally in some instances.
The design can range from a simple digital print, a screen printed artisan card or even intricate shapes and cut outs and can be made out of light weight papers or thicker card stocks. It all depends on the ideas and structures involved which we would be delighted to work through to produce these underestimated jewels of packaging.

O Card Style Cases for CDs
Sitting somewhere between Belly Bands and Slip Cases, the O Card Sleeve is made from the same strong card stock as our Digipacks Digisleeves and Digifiles covering four out of the six sides of a product.
You may have seen it's popular use for more environmentally friendly Cassette releases which we also utilise for our USB Cassette Products. It encapsulates most of the product becoming an instantly luxurious outer packaging sleeve.
Very popular for our 6 Panel and even 8 Panel Digipacks these additions can have simple print or make use of our finishes & effects or even introduce cut outs that interact with the internal parts of the product. Each O Card tailored to the inner core packaging type for your project, producing a concise and well finished printed product.
O Card's and Slip cases for Audio-Visual Formats
Wrap around O Card Cases for DVD & Blu-ray products have been around for almost as long as the DVD format itself and rapidly arrived on the market to stop retail customers in their tracks when browsing so many "boring" Standard Plastic DVD Cases. This may seem simple, but it is a very effective sales strategy even if the graphics are the same as the case sleeve. It works because the product is either the same or a negligible increase in price point to the standard case version, but the end customer can instantly see that they get more product for their hard earned monies.
Card casings biggest value is that they open up avenues for effects like Hot Foiling, Embossing/Debossing and Spot Colours including UV Spot Gloss varnishes that you couldn't do very effectively to a plastic case. DVD and Blu-ray cases often don specialist graphics like a Lenticular sheets where a two or three flip image or 3D effect is featured on the front for "Limited Editions" making them highly collectable products.

Slip Cases for CDs, DVDs & Blu-ray Discs
Often used for when there are a few individual discs or "volumes" in independent packaging, but also as a means to enhance any Jewel Case, DVD Case or Digipacks, Slip Cases are sealed around five faces, leaving one end open to "slip" the product in and out.
Slip Cases can range from a relatively light weight printed card to a two piece Grey Core Board Extravaganza, where one piece slides in and out of the other (like a sideways hybrid lift off lid box) and can boast textured wrap around and Hot Foiling to finish it off. Such products command excitement when held in the hand and produce a very special relationship with the end user. See the image below for Luxury Boxes featuring a two part slip case image.
Luxury Boxes for CDs, DVDs & Blu-ray Discs
Luxury CD, DVD & Blu-ray box sets present a huge array of constructions, finishes and effects, but none say "high end product" more than a two-part box system of some nature. "Lift Off Lid" boxes are, as the name suggests, two different half boxes that fit snugly into one another separating in a vertical motion like traditional board game packaging and the more controversial draw style slip cases separate in a horizontal motion. Either style can be drawn up to open in any direction, adopt numerous shapes and show off multiple faces of interesting print work.
The box constructions have Grey Core Board centres and a wrap around graphic, so there are often constraints of geometry in construction to overcome, but whatever the box shape, all the Print Finishing and Effect goodies are available. A host of structured papers are suitable for the box wrap to produce exciting textures such as canvas, rock or corrugation really bringing the product packaging to life.
